SWIMMATTERS IS CLOSING

After a great deal of thought and consideration, and after nearly a decade of teaching so many wonderful children and adults, Swimmatters will be closing its doors in July 2026. 

I cannot begin to put into words the privilege it has been to work with you all over the years, and to experience the joy each of you has brought. I hope with all my heart that you and your children continue to learn to love the water and that you have a lifetime of swimming for pleasure. 

To all of you parents, grandparents and carers who have brought your children every week, who have encouraged and celebrated every tiny success, have bought goggles and woggles, swimsuits and all the other paraphernalia, who have stood poolside and sweated it out, or who have been in the water (and changing rooms!) on the coldest of days, I want to say an enormous and truly heartfelt thank you. Without you, Swimmatters would not have grown to what it has become. 

Over the years I have received emails, texts and videos of WOW moments when your little ones have blown bubbles, taken their first independent swim, or got their face wet for the first time. I have heard about holidays where your children have grown in confidence ten-fold, or joyful weekend family swims. I have had the privilege of watching some of you grow your families, celebrate engagements, weddings and new jobs, and share in some of your challenges as well. Please believe me when I say that I have never taken any of it for granted. I know how lucky I have been to call that “work”.
